I felt the manner of the employee I spoke to was borderline rude.

Auto Aid did not make me particularly happy or unhappy. I have not used the breakdown service in some while. Two or three minutes were spent telling what was not covered - is this a premium telephone line? The person's voice I spoke to was unwelcoming and totally lacked any warmth or personality. You would have thought that I was asking a favour rather than giving some business. Training in telephone technique is badly needed here.

Firstly the title and my name has been spell incorrectly on the policy; Secondly your telephone voice sounds uncertain and disinterested - could be because it's Friday afternoon after 5pm. I was asked to repeat all my details again, as i have been with auto aid for over 5 years, my details should hv been on the system. It make me very wary. However, I realised this is probably a new starter - hence the 3 stars.

While the cover is good value, and covers my older vehicle, I was not impressed that my partner couldn't be covered? I don't see the difference between married or not?Very old fashioned!

I have only recently joined so have no experiance of the company. The Lady on the phone was nice and polite, so here is hoping I do not need to ring again, until next year.

Having been with AA for many years I am apprehensive to change. However as Auto Aid Breakdown was mentioned on a TV programme in a positive light I have decided to try it out. It is definitely cheaper - and the only reason I am willing to try them out at this stage. In providing this cheap price, however I have noted a number of cost cutting points to-date: a) The customers Services takes a very long time to answer (both times I phoned) b) The customers Service staff don't seem to have the answer on their finger tips - and need to ask more experienced staff in the background or are a little absent minded and do not come over as professional as with AA or RAC c) On my first call Customer Service got my and wife's surname miss-spelt - so had to phone again. d) The cover - even though covers both me and the spouse - unlike with AA and RAC where the policy covers you as individuals IN ANY VEHICLE (as a driver or passenger) Auto Aid Breakdown only covers you as a driver. e) With AA one gets a personalised Credit Card style printed policy information with Auto Aid one does not f) AA sends out policy confirmation and documents via post whereas Auto Aid does not - only as email. Extra charges apply if wanting through the post. Advantages of note: a) Much cheaper than AA and RAC and b) No limitations on the number of call outs (providing you are the driver) Whether the call out service is any good or not - and if as a result I will remain with Auto Aid Breakdown or not - remains to be seen. I've not had to use them yet for a call out - and that's the real test - but renewal was simple.
